A collection of links and photo galleries.
7 More Abandoned Wonders of the World - WebUrbanist photo gallery of abandoned American buildings. I’m particularly fond of the server row in the photos of a former Sun Microsystems office building.
Almost History - 2005 Chattanooga Pulse article on the 10 most imperiled buildings in downtown Chattanooga. Many have been restored, or are under renovation. A few such as the old YMCA off Main St. are still on the outs.
Forgotten Detroit - A site dedicated to Detroit’s past architecture. Each page features the building’s history and current status as well as a thorough photo gallery of that particular structure. I love the Gotham signage on the People’s Outfitting Company.
Abandoned - Massive photo collection of former-Soviet infrastructure. Some of the buildings were never finished by the State (this hospital for instance), while others serve no purpose in a post-Cold War Russia.
